You can sit on this bat bag now! The next ball out of your bag? All right, so we’re at the park, and I’ve got some prototype bags to test out. We’re going to run up here, do a couple of quick videos, and test out the new product. I’m pretty excited—pretty pumped! There’s some functionality that we’ve added to the bag, and I’ve got to make sure it’s working properly. I think it is, and it will be. Let’s run out here and see how it works.

The regular backpack has a couple of different designs on the back, just to see how that would look. Then, we have a wheeled version we’re going to test out. It’s got wheels, so we’ll see how that works. Already, the functionality of the wheeled version is coming in handy. I had an extra bag that I needed to carry, so I just slid it on. Pretty pumped about that!

So, we’re out here testing a new VeloTee bat bag. We got these samples in last week. This is the regular bag. I added a design on the back as well as the straps. The main function is still the same: it holds three bats and comes with the batting tee. We did beef up the sidewalls.

The number one question was: Can you sit on it like a bucket for coaches or players? This is the version that we’re going to come out with. You can sit on this bat bag now. That was the number one request, and we listened—we’ve got it in this bag now. We beefed up the sidewalls, and another thing we did underneath is add colors for pitchers and home plate.

The top zips off, like always, and you can customize it with your team logo, name, and number. But then, on the underside, you have your pitching lanes or hitting lanes. If you’re working on tracking pitches, you can just throw that down on the ground. Catchers, pitchers, and hitters can work off of their home plate top.

Now, the bag still holds all your gear: your helmet, glove, cleats, three bats, and a bucket of balls. Basically, everything is in your bag. Then, there are three inside tee slots. You set your bag down, take the tee that comes with the bag, put it in, adjust it, grab your bat, set your ball on, and just start setting up. Take your swing, grab the next ball out of your bag, and do the same thing. Now, pre-game BP, every kid can hit right off of their bat bag. Or, if you’re a coach, you have a hitting station right off the bag that you’re taking to the field.

One other small detail: on the underside here, we added a loop. If you’re out in the grass and you want to anchor your bag down even more, a stake can go with it. That way, it keeps your bag from tipping all the way over. But if you have enough balls in the bag, it’s not going anywhere.
